Chapter 10 - Verse 37

वृष्णीनां वासुदेवोऽस्मि पाण्डवानां धनञ्जयः ।
मुनीनामप्यहं व्यासः कवीनामुशना कविः ॥ ३७ ॥

vṛṣṇīnāṃ vāsudevo’smi pāṇḍavānāṃ dhanañjayaḥ .
munīnāmapyahaṃ vyāsaḥ kavīnāmuśanā kaviḥ .. 37 ..


Of the Vṛṣṇis I am Vasudeva, of the Pāṇḍavas I am Dhanañjaya, and of the saints I am Vyāsa, of the sages I am Usanas the sage.

Vasudeva: Myself, who am your friend. Vṛṣṇis: the descendants of Yadu. The saints: those who are engrossed in meditation and know all things. Sages: those of extensive knowledge, the omniscient beings.
